Classes
For new and continuing Level I students. Provides
a strong foundation and understanding of Iyengar Yoga asanas.
Level
1 - 2 For students who have completed at least
two sessions of Level I.
Level
2 – For students working towards inversions
and a stronger practice of the basic asanas.
Level
2 - 3 For students working with inversions and
a more in-depth understanding of Iyengar Yoga (see your
teacher).
Level
3 For keen students who have begun a home
practice want to make Yoga a life long journey.
Level
4 This class is for keen, able students who have
a home practice and can hold headstand for 5 minutes (medical
exceptions)
Noon Hour- A one hour class open to all levels of students. Cost is $8 per class when registered for the session. $10 for drop-in.
Gentle a slower paced, gentle class for those working
with chronic conditions and injuries. Props are used to
restore energy, flexibility and muscular balance. This
class is also well suited to those that are over 70 years
or not used to physical exercise.
Foundation Class - 4 week mini-session learning the foundations of Iyengar Yoga. See schedule for dates.
Pranayama- the study of yogic breath, students will learn the expansion, regulation and restraint of the breath. This class is open to students enrolled in any regular class that want to develop a pranayama practice. No drop-ins or make-ups.
Meditation
Introduction to Buddhist Meditation, support and inspiration for those already practising. Silent 40 minute sit followed by discussion. Drop-ins welcome. For more information call Margaret 250-861-9518.
Restorative - This class will cover most of the Level 1 & 2 postures. By use of props, the practitioner is guided into postures feeling steady and present. A proplonged period of time in each pose generates a sense of equanimity and well-being. Students of all levels benefit from the practice.
Private Classes - $80 for 1 and 1/2 hours. For more information please call individual teachers for availability.
