Brendon began his yoga journey in the year 2000 after taking a philosophy class in university. The postures and practice provided him flexibility and strength in his body, mind, and perspective. Graduating with degrees in engineering and philosophy, he sought to practically apply yogic principles to his career and personal life. Every vacation was spent on retreat with teachers like Eckhart Tolle, Adyashanti, John Friend, and yogis in India. In 2007, he became a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) and taught yoga, meditation, and sleep-meditation in the evenings, weekends, and through online courses.
This gave him the confidence and tools to train engineers in academia and industry, which he continues to do so today. During the pandemic, he returned to Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) to de-stress, abide in the ground of Being, and process the external chaos and internal fear.
In 2022, Brendon became a Certified iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation teacher, specifically using those tools to help people mitigate the negative effects of insomnia, sleep apnea, and teeth-grinding at night (areas he has struggled with himself). Yoga and Yoga Nidra are vital tools to release, recharge, restore, and re-integrate ourselves to abide in Being-Awareness-Bliss / Sat-Chit-Ananda.
