Melissa tried her first yoga class in 1991 to manage stress at work and has been teaching for 25 years. She holds a Level 3 certification. She is grateful to have studied with the Iyengar family at RIMYI in Pune, India on four occasions, as well as with Geeta Iyengar in Vancouver, Penticton and Kootenay Bay, BC. Melissa has used yoga as a daily vitamin pill to increase energy and positive thinking, heal sports related injuries, improve physical imbalance due to scoliosis and maintain stability and clarity through life’s changes. Melissa stands in awe of yoga’s power to help “every body” in the pursuit of physical health and mental well-being. A commitment to a weekly yoga class can change your life! She likes to infuse her classes with fun, self-exploration and self- acceptance. Melissa welcomes new students and gets excited when students discover the many gifts of Iyengar yoga.
